Bobby East of Brownsburg, Ind. “swept”

Bobby East of Brownsburg, Ind. “swept” Thursday night’s “Copper World Classic” presented by Fast Signs at Phoenix International Raceway, including a 25-mile victory in the USAC Mopar National/Western Midget Series. East won the pole and led all 25 laps in his Ford Racing/Club Sport Beast/Esslinger Ford. Brad Kuhn, Cole Carter, Kasey Kahne and Jason Leffler rounded out the “top-five” at the finish. National Midget point leader Tracy Hines finished 18th and retained a slim 17-point lead over Cole Whitt in the National standings going into the November 27 “Turkey Night Grand Prix” series finale at Irwindale, Calif. Whitt finished eighth in Thursday’s race. East concluded the “sweep” with a 100-mile victory in the K & N Silver Crown Championship Series.
