WESTERN MIDGETS HEADED TO MADERA FOR “SUPER SATURDAY”

The USAC Western and BCRA Midgets return to Madera (Calif.) Speedway for “Supar Saturday” at the 1/3-mile paved oval and Garrett Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. continues to hold a comfortable lead in the USAC standings.

Kody Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. trails by 133 points but his victories in the last two outings at Madera signal him as the odds-on favorite Saturday. Brother Tanner also won at Madera this year and they finished first and third in the May 9 race.

Hansen, on the other hand, competed in just one of the three previous Madera contests, posting a fifth-place finish on April 4.
