STRATTON TAKES "COWTOWN MIDGET CHAMPIONSHIPS" OPENER

Kennedale, Texas.......Danny Stratton of Fontana, Calif. drove Wayne Simmons' Iowa Speedway F5Twister/Esslinger Ford to victory in Friday's night's opening event of the 2nd Annual City Vending "Cowtown Midget Championships" at Cowtown Speedway near Fort Worth. Stratton battled with Brad Loyet for the early lead and eventually won the 30-lap race over Don Droud Jr., Zach Daum, Loyet and Kevin Bayer. Loyet led lap one and Stratton led the other 29 for the win. The "Cowtown Midget Championships" conclude tonight.
