ARMSTRONG-WELCH REGIONAL BATTLE CONTINUES AT PLYMOUTH

 

The battle for the 2010 USAC Regional Midget title resumes Thursday night at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway. Dalton Armstrong of New Castle, Ind. takes a 52-point lead over Dillon Welch of Noblesville, Ind. into the race at the 3/8-mile paved northern Indiana oval.

 

Armstrong has four victories, three seconds, a third and a fourth in his nine series starts, while Welch has two wins, two seconds, a third and two fourths.

 

Thursday night’s event, which also includes a 100-lap USAC Midwest Ford Focus feature, serves as a prelude to Saturday’s “Little Hoosier 100” USAC Mopar.25 Midget festival at Newton Park in nearby Lakeville, Ind.
