USAC/WOMS REGIONAL MIDGETS AT SPRINGPORT SATURDAY

WELCH WINS PLYMOUTH REGIONAL 40-LAPPER

Dalton Armstrong and Daniel Bedford are the respective series point leaders as the 2010 USAC Regional and USAC/WOMS Midget series combine for this Saturday night’s race at Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Mich.

Armstrong holds a 48-point lead over Dillon Welch in the Regional standings, while Bedford is seven points ahead of Armstrong in the USAC/WOMS tally entering the race at the 3/8-mile paved Springport oval.

Welch, of Carmel, Ind., led all 40 laps to win Thursday night’s USAC Regional Midget race at Plymouth Speedway. Welch wheeled the Z-Line Designs/ClubSport Beast/Ford to the win over Shannon McIntosh, Armstrong, fast qualifier Grant Galloway and Chris Phillips.
