IGNITES AT BAKERSFIELD SATURDAY

IGNITES AT BAKERSFIELD SATURDAY;PETERSON, ALFREY, COLSTON TOP IGNITE FEATURES
 
Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway hosts this Saturday’s USAC Western Ignite dirt race, the only Ignite action on this weekend’s calendar.
 
Cory Elliott currently leads the Western Ignite dirt standings, 12 points ahead of Jet Davison entering the Bakersfield race.
 
Jared Peterson, Toby Alfrey and Parker Colston posted USAC Ignite feature wins last weekend as standings in four different series were impacted.Peterson, of Stanwood, Wash., continued his winning ways in the Northwest series, winning Saturday’s 30-lap race at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon. Garrett Thomas finished second ahead of Garret Johnson, Tony Seidelman and Lance Hallmark.
 
Toby Alfrey of Miamisburg, Ohio led all 30 laps to win Saturday’s Midwest Pavement/Eastern Ignite feature at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway. He was trailed by Midwest Pavement Champion Ross Rankine, Eastern leader Jared Irvan, Gage Walker and Ryan Krachun.
 
Parker Colston of Lake Elsinore, Calif. grabbed the trophy at Saturday’s Western Dirt race at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway, beating series leader Cory Elliott, Jet Davison, Clayton Ruston and Christine Breckenridge to the flag. Davison led the first six laps and Colston led the rest.
