GRANT RISES TO THE TOP OF INDIANA SPRINT WEEK’S POINTS ENTERING KOKOMO

GRANT RISES TO THE TOP OF INDIANA SPRINT WEEK’S POINTS ENTERING KOKOMO

Kokomo, Indiana (July 26, 2022)………Justin Grant has taken over the point lead of the USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week standings by virtue of a pair of runner-up finishes in each of the first two completed events at Gas City and Circle City.

The Ione, Calif. native holds a 17-point lead entering round number four on Tuesday, July 26, at Kokomo Speedway.  Chase Stockon (Fort Branch, Ind.), the 2020 ISW champ, runs second at the moment (-17).  Robert Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.), the 2015 ISW titlist, is third in the points (-31).  Series Rookie Mitchel Moles (Raisin City, Calif.) is fourth (-37) and Gas City winner Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) is fifth (-40).

A $23,000 total purse is on the line for the top-eight in the final standings of the eight-race tour throughout the Hoosier state.  The ISW champion will collect a $10,000 reward.  A payout of $5,000 goes to second, $2,500 for third, $1,500 for fourth, $1,250 for fifth, $1,100 for sixth, $900 for seventh and $750 for eighth.

Indiana Sprint Week continues Tuesday night, July 26, at Kokomo Speedway.  Pits open at 4pm Eastern.  Front gates open for advance ticket holders at 4pm.  All other spectators may enter the stands starting at 4:30pm.  The drivers meeting is set for 6pm with hot laps at 6:30pm.  The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship will be the only division on hand.
