8 OF 13 TITLES AT TAMPA GO TO FLORIDA .25 PILOTS

 


Eight of the 13 checkered flags in Sunday’s “Back to School Battle,” round eight of the 2010 USAC Generation Next Tour Mopar .25 Midget Championships in Tampa, Florida, were claimed by Sunshine State pilots.


 


Claiming victories at the East Coast Challenge at the Ambassador Racing School oval were Michael Atwell of Naples (Light World Formula and Light 160), Danny Sams II of North Port (Junior Honda), Trey Lively of Ruskin (Heavy Honda), A.J. Freites of New Port Richey (Junior Animal), Matthew Green of Orlando (Senior Animal), Conner Dutting of Bradenton (Junior Rookie) and C.J. Dickerson of New Port Richey (Senior Rookie).


 


Other class winners included Michael Fanelli of Rio Rancho, N.M. (Heavy World Formula and Heavy 160), Mark Miller of Mooresville, N.C. (Senior Honda), Cooper Clouse of Ohio City, OH (Heavy AA) and Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, AZ (B).


 


The 10-round Generation Next Tour now focuses its sights on round nine at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway, the JEGS Crown on September 19, followed by the Inaugural Dirt Nationals September 24-26 at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
