INAUGURAL .25 MIDGET CHAMPIONS FETED AT SANDUSKY’S KALAHARI RESORT


The Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio played host to last Saturday night’s inaugural USAC .25 Midget Awards Night of Champions Ceremony and a gala time was had by all who attended.


 


Top finishers in all classes of USAC .25 Midget competition during 2009 were recognized with distinctive trophies and many participants were recipients of USAC .25 Midget jackets, emblematic of their 2009 performances.


 


Emceed by “Cowboy” Paul Szmal, the awards banquet also feature candid photo and video presentations and over 300 door prizes were distributed to attendees.


 


Champions recognized at Saturday night’s function included: Zachery McConahay of Pickerington, Ohio (Junior Rookie), Shelby Perkins of Germantown, Ohio (Senior Rookie), Jeff Dunfee III Mantua, Ohio (Junior Honda and Junior Stock), Ross Rankine of Willard, Ohio (Senior Honda and Light World Formula), Josh Daugherty of Pendleton, Ind. (Heavy Honda), Cooper Clouse of Ohio City, Ohio (Senior Stock), Nathan McCauley of Millersport, Ohio (Light Mod), Cody Coughlin of Delaware, Ohio (Heavy Mod), Craig Swartz of New Paris, Ohio (Heavy World Formula and Heavy AA), Noah Gallandt of Bay City, Mich. (Heavy B), Ryan Fleming of Xenia, Ohio (Light B), Erika Newcome of Pickerington, Ohio (Light AA), Gage Walker of Fairland, Ind.
