ORANGE SHOW HOSTS "GENERATION NEXT" ROUND 3

EVENT IS “BATTLE AT THE BRICKYARD” QUALIFIER

USAC’s Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next” Round 3 unfolds this weekend at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif. and the lucky participants will earn automatic invitations to compete in the upcoming 2nd Annual “Battle at the Brickyard” at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, slated July 6-10.

This weekend’s San Bernardino Western District events are the second District Championships which serve as “qualifiers” for the Indianapolis event. The Eastern District Championships were held April 10-11 in Braselton, Ga. And the Midwest District Championships are scheduled June 5-6 at Kokomo, Ind.

Under the auspices of the Orange Show Quarter Midget Club, the San Bernardino program opens with registration and practice on Friday. Saturday’s events include Junior, Senior and Heavy Honda, Light and Heavy 160 Rookie, Junior and Senior Animal, Deco, World Formula and Half class preliminaries.

“Orange Show is one of the premier .25 midget tracks on the west coast,” says USAC Developmental Series Director James Spink. “It is an honor to be able to present our Western District Championships in southern California.”

Feature events in all classes are scheduled on Sunday, beginning at 9:30 am, followed by victory lane ceremonies. The event will be streamed live on usacracing.com.
