USAC Welcomes the River City Quarter Midget Club!

Austin's River City Club Readies for 2014 Opener
(Indianapolis) The River City Club getting ready for the first race of 2014, this Saturday, February 15, Texas. This will be the first season they will be sanctioned with the United States Auto Club. There are 9 race events on the Austin calendar but only eight count towards season ending points. Their season runs from November thru April with January off. The second annual "Charlie Wolfe Memorial Race" is set for April 12. Charlie had been a member for many years and helped every new family that ever took a lap at River City.

RCQMA - "Where the Kids Go to Race" is a club that has been around for over 25 years. Most recently, four new track records have been established by Evan Spaulding, Austin Wright, Tyler Ward, and Chase Randall. The fastest track record to date is 6.030 set by Cayden Lapcevich, in 2010 in the Lt 'AA Class.

An "Arrive and Drive" event was held in the past several weeks to promote RCQMA and cars have been on the track for practice.

"We are excited to welcome the Austin based club to our USAC family," said Kyle McCain. "With both the Lone Star Club in San Antonio and River City there are now two USAC clubs just an hour apart from each other in the state of Texas."
