AMSOIL SPRINTS HEAD FOR PUTNAMILLE FRIDAY

AMSOIL SPRINTS HEAD FOR PUTNAMILLE FRIDAY

America’s independence will be celebrated across the land Friday and USAC’s AMSOIL Sprint Cars will offer a star-studded salute of its own with a complete program of racing at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.

Brady Bacon and Dave Darland will continue their torrid battle for the 2014 series title, separated by just 48 points with 74 available at LPS.

Bacon will try to extend Dynamics, Inc.’s all-time lead in the car owner victory standings, while Darland has an agenda of his own as well. Dynamics has 84 career victories to their credit, while Darland will seek a 51st career win in search of Tom Bigelow’s all-time series record of 52.

Friday marks the first of two AMSOIL races at LPS in the next three weeks. The track will host its “Indiana Sprint Week” event on July 17.

Chad Boespflug and Bryan Clauson were the USAC Sprint winners at Lincoln Park last season.
