BILL POWERS, 90

William H. (Bill) Powers, who co-owned Sprint cars scoring a dozen USAC feature victories between 1981 and 1983 with drivers Rick Hood, Eddie Leavitt, Rich Vogler and Jack Hewitt, passed away March 4 at age 90. In 1983 Hewitt won the Tony Hulman Classic at Terre Haute, Ind. in the Powers entry. USAC extends its sympathies to the Powers family.
