Chris Lamb will lead the USAC Eastern HPD Midgets to their season finale November 21 at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway. He has a 74-point lead over Jessica Bean as he seeks his second series title.

Jake Nelke of Manahawkin, N.J. became the latest brand-new feature winner in USAC HPD Midget racing. He won Saturday night’s 35-lap Eastern race at Dillon (S.C.) Motor Speedway, leading the final 27 laps after passing Andrew Layser on lap nine.

Layser led the first eight laps and finished second ahead of Nolan Allison, Carson Hocevar and Sam Hatfield.

Matt Lundstrom, sixth in the current Eastern standings, won this year’s previous Hickory outing, in April.
