FORMER USAC CHAMPION DAN WHELDON, 33
The United States Auto Club extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon, who suffered fatal injuries in today's IZOD IndyCar Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Dan won USAC's 1999 National Formula Ford 2000 championship.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire IZOD IndyCar Series fraternity.
