WILSON, CLAUSON STRONG IN KENTUCKY PRACTICE & WILL START 3rd & 11th SUNDAY

 


Sparta, KY........USAC veterans Jacob Wilson and Bryan Clauson qualified Saturday for Sunday's Kentucky 100 Firestone Indy Lights race, to be held at Kentucky Speedway prior to the IZOD IndyCar Kentucky Indy 300. Wilson earned the third starting spot for his series debut, qualifying the Belardi Auto Racing entry at 190.212 mph, while Clauson's speed of 187.182 mph in the Sam Schmidt Motorsports Mazda Road to Indy/CURB Records/SSM entry was good enough for the #11 starting spot Sunday. Former USAC Midget veteran Brandon Wagner starts second in Sunday's race, alongside pole starter Stefan Wilson. The 67-lap race gets the green flag at 12:30 pm ET.
