TONY JONES HARD CHARGER AWARD ADDS $1,000 TO OVAL NATS POT

Perris, California (November 3, 2019)……….The All Coast Construction Tony Jones Hard Charger Award will pay $1,000 to the driver who passes the most cars on the final night of the November 7-8-9 Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by All Coast Construction at California’s Perris Auto Speedway.

The award, named after the 2000 Oval Nationals winner, honors one of the most popular and successful drivers in the history of Perris Auto Speedway, SCRA and the USAC/CRA Sprint Car series, of which he was the 2007 driver champion.

Jones has been a mentor to up and coming driver and, this year, began his role as Race Director for the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series.

“I am pleased to announce that All Coast Construction will once again sponsor the Tony Jones Hard Charger Award,” All Coast Construction’s Mike Grosswendt said on Thursday.  “It will pay $1,000 to the driver who passes the most cars in the main event on Saturday night.  It goes to a deserving driver who does a lot of hard work during the main event.”

In addition, ProSource from Grand Saline, Texas, has posted a total of $1,000 in bonus awards for the Oval Nationals.  On the first two nights, an extra $200 for the Hard Work award will be awarded to the slowest qualifier who transfers to the feature race.  For the final night of the Oval Nationals, ProSource had added $200 to the deepest starting driver in the semi-feature to earn a transfer spot into the feature race.

ProSource has also added a $400 bonus for the Passing Master - the driver who accumulates the most total positions gained from his or her starting spot during the course of Thursday, Friday and Saturday night’s preliminary and feature events.

Tickets for the 24th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals are available 24-hours a day by calling 1-800-595-4849 or online at https://pas.tix.com/Schedule.aspx?OrgNum=7.
