LARSON HOLDS 10-POINT LEAD OVER THORSON IN IMW POINT RACE
Speedway, Indiana (June 18, 2020)………He did it again on Thursday night at Lincoln Park Speedway, and Kyle Larson remains atop the Indiana Midget Week point standings at the crossed flags point of the series with three races down and three to go entering round four Friday night for a second go-around at Lincoln Park in Putnamville, Ind.
Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.) has won all three Indiana Midget Week races thus far, Tuesday at Paragon Speedway, Wednesday at Gas City I-69 Speedway and Thursday at Lincoln Park Speedway.
Despite that, Tanner Thorson (Minden, Nev.) actually gained a point on Larson Thursday night in the IMW standings and only trails Larson by 10 by virtue of garnering the qualifying and heat race points that Larson did not earn at Lincoln Park night one. Thorson has twice finished as a runner-up to Larson this week at Paragon and Lincoln Park, and was 4th at Gas City.
Friday at Lincoln Park for round 3 of IMW, the pits open at 3pm Eastern, grandstands at 4:30pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.
