JULY 15 ELDORA USAC AMSOIL NATIONAL SPRINT RACE CANCELED

Rossburg, Ohio (June 29, 2020)………The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship event, scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, has been canceled due to orders from the Ohio Department of Health’s to restrict mass gatherings and spectator events at large venues, which remains in effect as a part of the state’s overall response to the COVID-19 health crisis.

According to a press release on EldoraSpeedway.com, Eldora officials have been working with local and state officials since April to establish re-opening guidance.  They submitted a detailed proposal to Governor Mike DeWine, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Darke County General Health District, for the return of spectator events at 50 percent capacity in July and August.

With the Ohio Department of Health’s orders in place, spectators remain prohibited from the grandstands of large venues in the state of Ohio.  Among those included is Eldora Speedway.

Race fans are asked to retain all tickets, credentials, passes and receipts they have received to date for the weekend of racing, which was to be a part of the festivities for the 37th Kings Royal Weekend.

USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car racing resumes this week with three races on the docket to start the month of July, at the Terre Haute Action Track on Wednesday, July 1 and a doubleheader weekend at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, both of which are co-sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Car Series.

Wednesday at Terre Haute, pits open at 3pm Eastern, grandstands at 4pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.  Adult grandstand tickets are $25 while children age 11 and under are free.  Adult infield tickets are just $15.  Pit passes for members are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.  The Scott's Custom Colors DIRTcar Modifieds are also on agenda for the evening.

For the Bill Gardner Sprintacular at Lincoln Park Speedway, on Friday, adult general admission tickets are $25 with pit admission $30.  The pits open at 3pm ET with the front gate opening at 4:30pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.  Modifieds, Super Stocks and Bombers are also racing in the event.

On Saturday at Lincoln Park, adult general admission tickets are $25 with pit admission $35.  The pits open at 3pm ET with the front gate opening at 4:30pm and hot laps at 6pm.  The USAC Midwest Regional Midgets join the USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midgets and Race Savers 305 Winged Sprints on the event card.
