Battle at the Brickyard Provisionals

Battle at the Brickyard Provisionals

POINT LEADER PROVISIONAL FOR THE 2013

"BATTLE AT THE BRICKYARD"

Drivers that are leading their respective classes in points from both the Eastern and Western divsions heading into the 2013 "Battle at the Brickyard" will be rewarded with a provisional to start at the tail of their respective A main event if they fail to transfer into the feature. (example: Senior Honda Western Points leader wrecks in the B main, he/she can then use a provisional to start either 11 or 12 of the A main depending on the status of the Eastern Points leader.)

If both the Eastern and Western points leaders use their provisional to start at the tail of their respective A main (Their starting position 11 or 12 will be based on who had a lower pill draw number at registration.)

If only one points leader needs to use the provisional, then no more than 11 cars will start the feature.

To use a provisional a driver must register for that particular class with the points (East or West) that they earned the provisional in. For example: If a driver won the Eastern Junior Honda provisional, but earned more Western Junior Honda points, they must register for the Junior Honda class with their Eastern points to be eligible for their provisional.

If neither Western or Eastern points leader needs to use the provisional, then 10 cars would start the feature.

The "Battle at the Brickyard" returns this season to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway July 9th-13th.
