CLAUSON TAKES “CORNFEST” AT ANGELL PARK

The September 21 “4-Crown Nationals” is next up for the Honda USAC National Midget Series and Christopher Bell’s point lead has slipped to 37 over Bryan Clauson after Sunday night’s “Cornfest” 30-lapper at Sun Prairie, Wisc. where Clauson won and Bell was seventh.

Clauson, of Noblesville, Ind., wheeled the Corey Tucker/BCI/Curb-Agajanian Mobil 1 Spike/Esslinger to the win at Angell Park Speedway over Tracy Hines, Darren Hagen, Jerry Coons Jr. and Zach Daum.

The win was Clauson’s 14th in various USAC series this season and his 28th in Honda National Midget competition. He trailed A.J. Felker for the first four laps, then led the final 26 laps for the victory.

The 33rd “4-Crown Nationals” will showcase USAC TRAXXAS Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint and Honda National Dirt Midget series in one big extravaganza on the half-mile Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
