PLYMOUTH “HUMP DAY MIDGET SERIES” SUSPENDED

The “Hump Day Midget Series,” which began June 29 at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway, has been suspended for 2016. Races originally scheduled for next Wednesday night, July 20, and August 31, have been removed from the calendar.

“We had hoped to spark some interest and offer Midget teams and fans an opportunity for more racing in Indiana,” says USAC Competition Director Levi Jones. “Unfortunately, the support was not sufficient for us to continue. We will keep digging and working on something for the future.”

The June 29 race, which was won by Tanner Thorson, was part of the 2016 USAC Indiana Midget Series, which continues September 10 at Daugherty Speedway in Boswell, Ind.
