INDIANA MIDGET WEEK STANDINGS UPDATE (AFTER RD. 2 OF 6)

New Zealand’s Michael Pickens has risen to the top of the Indiana Midget Week standings after winning Wednesday night’s USAC Midget National feature event at Gas City I-69 Speedway.  That performance followed up a solid runner-up finish behind race winner Tyler Courtney in Tuesday’s opener at Montpelier Motor Speedway.  Courtney dropped to 8th in the standings after mechanical issues forced him out of the race and to a 23rd place result at Gas City.

USAC National Midget point leader Brady Bacon is just 10 points behind Pickens in the IMW points.  Tanner Thorson runs third ahead of Shane Golobic and Spencer Bayston/Kyle Larson who are knotted up for 5th.

Four races remain on the 2017 Indiana Midget Week slate beginning with tonight’s run at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana.  The schedule continues Friday, June 9, at Bloomington Speedway, Saturday, June 10, at Lawrenceburg Speedway and the finale on Sunday, June 11, at Kokomo Speedway.
