IMW PASSING MASTER IS LARSON’S ENTERING KOKOMO FINALE

IMW PASSING MASTER IS LARSON’S ENTERING KOKOMO FINALE

Kokomo, Indiana (June 21, 2020)………On top of winning four of the five Indiana Midget Week events held thus far, leading the IMW points and captivating the world of auto racing with his dominance of dirt track open wheel racing of late, Kyle Larson also holds the lead in the ProSource Indiana Midget Week Passing Master standings entering Sunday’s finale at Kokomo Speedway.

Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.), has passed a total of 38 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets throughout the entirety of the five Indiana Midget Week feature events, and added two more in Saturday night’s victory at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Five drivers remain mathematically eligible to earn the title of IMW Passing Master for this week.  Along with Larson, Thomas Meseraull (San Jose, Calif.) has advanced 24 positions while Bixby, Oklahoma’s Cannon McIntosh has passed 23, Canton, Illinois’ driver Chris Windom 22 and Ione, California’s Justin Grant with 20.

At the end of the week, the driver who advances the most total positions from his or her feature starting spot throughout the entirety of Indiana Midget Week will receive $400 as the ProSource Passing Master.  Provisional starters each night are ineligible to receive points toward the passing master total.

Sunday at Kokomo for the sixth and final round of IMW, the pits open at 3pm Eastern, grandstands at 5pm and hot laps at 6pm.
