DARLAND WINS “SUMAR CLASSIC 100"Terre Haute, Ind……..Dave Darland of Lincoln, Ind. won Wednesday night’s First Financial Bank “Sumar Classic 100” USAC K & N Silver Crown Championship race at the Terre Haute Action Track, leading 68 of the 100 laps in his Jarvis Enterprises/Plastic Express Beast/Foxco Chevy. Darland held off repeqated challenges from runner-up Jerry Coons Jr., while Shane Cottle took third ahead of Brian Tyler and Mat Neely. Coons led 20 laps and Levi Jones, who finished seventh, led 12. Coons emerged with the series point lead going into Thursday night’s “J.D. Byrider 100” presented at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis. Darland started on the pole at Terre Haute.
