Terre Haute, Indiana……USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car leading rookie Stevie Sussex will make his return to the series this Saturday night, October 14 at the Terre Haute Action Track for the “Tony Hulman/Don Smith Classic.”

The Tempe, Arizona native will make his Terre Haute debut in the No. 21x for longtime car owner Rick Pollock Saturday at Terre Haute.  Sussex hasn’t made a start in the series since June during the “Eastern Storm” tour of Pennsylvania.

In Sussex’s limited appearances this season, he’s finished in the top-ten in three of his six starts, including a fifth-place run at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway in April.  He also picked up ProSource Fast Qualifier honors at Greenwood, Nebraska’s I-80 Speedway in June.

Prior to making regular appearances on the National scene, Sussex has shown prowess near his stomping grounds in the Grand Canyon State where he’s the owner of 12 career USAC Southwest Sprint Car victories, including two this season.

Meanwhile, Pollock has regularly fielded rides in the series for a number of years and, along the way, has earned a pair of victories with Chris Windom as his driver, both at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway, in 2012 and 2015.  The car has only appeared briefly during the 2017 season, but did manage a strong third-place result with driver Thomas Meseraull during “Winter Dirt Games VII” in Ocala, Fla. back in February.

Pit gates open for the “Hulman/Smith Classic" at 2pm.  A free, open pit party will take place from 3:30 to 5:30pm, allowing fans to walk through the pits, meet the driver, get autographs, take pictures and win prizes.  Cars hit the track for hot laps at 6pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $25 while infield admission is just $15.  Children age 11 and under are free!

You can witness the event a day after the race is run, on-demand with flag-to-flag coverage at http://www.Loudpedal.TV/.
