TWO-TIME SILVER CROWN CHAMPION CAR OWNER JARRETT PASSES

Two-time USAC Silver Crown car owner champion and longtime USAC National Sprint Car team owner Kenny Jarrett of Elwood, Indiana, passed away September 5, 2018 after an extended illness.  He was 88 years old.

Jarrett’s cars captured the Silver Crown titles in both 1988 and 1992 with driver Steve Butler.  Butler also captured each of his three career Silver Crown victories in Jarrett-owned machines, twice during the “4-Crown Nationals” at Eldora Speedway in 1990 and 1992 as well as the “Hulman Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in 1993.

USAC extends its deepest condolences to Jarrett’s family and friends.
