BELL, LARSON WIN FINAL AUCKLAND FEATURES

Christopher Bell won Saturday’s World 50-Lap Midget Classic at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, N.Z., the final international race in the 2018-19 series. Michael Pickens took second and Logan Seavey was third. Kyle Larson was running second when he flipped about 10 laps from the end. He was uninjured. Tyler Courtney and Chris Windom both failed to finish the 50-lapper.

Larson scored a sensational victory in Thursday’s “Bryan Clauson Memorial” 39-lap “King of the Springs” Midget feature at Western Springs. He fought off a determined bid from Bell, who recovered from an early-race flip to come from the back to challenge for the win. Pickens and Courtney rounded out the “top-4.”
