COURTNEY LEADS SUPER LICENSE STANDINGS AS USAC HITS AUGUST

Speedway, Indiana (August 6, 2019)………Tyler Courtney leads the Mike Curb Super License point standings entering the month of August by virtue of earning the most combined points between USAC’s Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship divisions throughout the 2019 season.

Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) remains the only driver to win main events in all three of the divisions thus far this year and has already accumulated a total of 12 National feature victories: 6 Midget, 5 Sprint and 1 Silver Crown, most among all drivers.

Courtney, the defending Super License winner, leads the Midget points, is third in Sprint and 24th in Silver Crown where he runs a partial schedule only on the dirt.

Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.) stands a close second behind Courtney 32 points back while Kevin Thomas, Jr. is third, 99 points out of the lead, in what appears to be a three-horse race for the title, which pays a $5,000 bonus and a USAC Super License worth $900 at the year-end banquet.
