HANGTOWN 100 POINT STANDINGS AFTER NIGHT #1

Placerville, California (November 20, 2019)……….Logan Seavey leads the overall Elk Grove Ford Hangtown 100 standings entering the second night of the event, Wednesday, November 20, at California’s Placerville Speedway.

Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) finished second to Gio Scelzi in Wednesday night’s 30-lap USAC NOS Energy Drink National and Western States Midget feature at Placerville behind winner Gio Scelzi (Fresno, Calif.) who resides second overall in the standings behind Seavey.

On Wednesday, no qualifying will be held.  Lineups will be based on total points from night one.  Six 10-lap heat races will be held.  The top-8 cars will be inverted in the heats based on total points from night one.  Thirty-six (36) points will be given for first place, and minus 3 points per position thereafter.

The total points will then be tallied to line up D, C, B, and A-Mains.  The top-20 in points go to A-Main, positions 21-36 in points go to B-Main, positions 37-52 in points go to C-Main, and all others go to the D-Main.

The D-Main is 10 Laps, with the top-2 transferring to the tail of the C-Main.  The C-Main is 15 Laps with 20 cars and the top-4 will transfer to the tail of the B-Main.  The B-Main is 20 laps with 20 cars and the top-4 transferring to the tail of the A-Main.  No points will be awarded for the D, C or B-Mains.

The 100-lap A-Main will feature 24 cars with the top-12 inverted by points followed by the next 8 in points lined straight up, followed by B-Main transfers 1-4.  150 points will be awarded for first place and minus 3 points per position thereafter.  The driver with the most total points after the Night Two A-Main will be the overall point champion.

Ties in overall points will revert to qualifying times.  The promoter reserves the right to add provisionals to the Night Two A-Main.  There is a possibility of a mandatory fuel stop between laps 40-50 of the Night Two A-Main.
