JONES GOES FOR #5 WHEN CRA RETURNS TO PERRIS OCT. 18!

Defending Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champ Tony Jones of Norco, Calif. became the first driver in Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car history to win four consecutive feature races at the Perris Auto Speedway, leading all 30 laps of Saturday night's Southern California Fair race.

Jones piloted the Alexander Trucking/La Villa Restaurant DRC/JC Performance machine to the win over Blake Miller, Nic Faas, Danny Sheridan and Matt Mitchell. Miller cut series point leader Mike Spencer's lead to just 63 points with his second place finish, while Spencer finished 20th Saturday night.

Jones ranks fifth in the new series points as a result of his recent success. He'll try for an unprecedented fifth consecutive win at the 1/2-mile dirt oval October 18.

The October 18 event is the annual "Legends of Ascot" featuring the legends of the now-defunct Gardena, California oval which hosted so many races for so many years.
