SHORT WIRE-TO-WIRE IN LAWRENCEBURG’S “ROBBIE STANLEY CLASSIC”

Lawrenceburg, Ind……..Brady Short of Bedford, Ind. led all 30 laps to win Thursday night’s “Robbie Stanley Classic” at the Lawrenceburg Speedway, round two of the 2008 Chevy Powers Indiana Sprint Week presented by Fatheadz. Short grabbed the lead from pole starter Shane Cottle at the drop of the green flag and led all the way in his Indiana Stoneworks/Short Trucking Maxim/Fisher to beat Hunter Scheurenberg, Cottle, Jerry Coons Jr. and Dave Darland to the checkered flag. Cottle emerged from the race with a two-point lead over Darland in the new Chevy Powers Indiana Sprint Week standings going into Friday’s third round at the Gas City I-69 Speedway. Darland was Thursday’s fastest qualifier as 48 drivers competed for top honors. The win was Short’s second in Indiana Sprint Week competition. He previously won at Bloomington in 2006.
