WESTERN (CLASSIC) SPRINTS HEAD FOR MADERA

SLC HOSTS “ROCKY MOUNTAIN” SPRINTS SATURDAY

The AMSOIL USAC Western Classic and Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series both see action this weekend. The Western Classic Sprints will compete at the Madera (Calif.) Speedway Saturday, while the Rocky Mountain Sprints continue their 2011 campaign at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah, also Saturday night.

Luis Ramos III of Clovis, Calif. enters Saturday’s Madera race with a four-point Western lead over Audra Sasselli, while Scott Pierovich of Alamo, Calif. is five points ahead of Tony Hunt in the Western Classic points.

Ryan Burdett of West Jordan, Utah is 19 points ahead of Jim Waters in the current Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprint points.

Hunt won at Madera in April and Burdett has won two of the three races held so far this season at RMR.
