WINDOM WIRE-TO-WIRE IN DOMINANT “HURTUBISE CLASSIC” VICTORY

 


Terre Haute, IN……..Chris Windom of Canton, Ill. led all 30 laps to win Saturday night’s “Jim Hurtubise Classic” AMSOIL USAC National Sprint race at the Terre Haute Action Track. Levi Jones came from 16th to second to hang onto a 16-point lead in the standings. Windom piloted the Fox Paving/Claxton Engines Maxim/Mopar to the victory. Hunter Schuerenberg, Keith Bloom Jr. and Robert Ballou rounded out the “top-five.” Four drivers flipped during the program, including Bryan Clauson, who cleared the wall in turn one on the opening lap of the feature, but there were no injuries.
