KOTW, AUTO VALUE BACK TO PENSACOLA, MOBILE THIS WEEKEND

USAC’s “King of the Wing” and Auto Value Bumper-to-Bumper Sprint Car championships debut this week after rains forced postponement of the openers last week in Florida and Alabama.

Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola hosts Friday night’s race and Saturday night’s race is at Mobile International Speedway in Irvington, Ala.

The 11-race KOTW series openers mark the first USAC appearance in Pensacola since Jimmy Knight’s Midget victory 58 years ago and the first USAC appearance in Alabama since 1975.

In addition to the King of the Wing and Auto Value championships, this weekend’s races also impact the Southern Regional championship.
