BIG USAC EAST COAST SPRINT/EASTERN MIDGET DOUBLEHEADER COMES TO BIG DIAMOND FRIDAY

BIG USAC EAST COAST SPRINT/EASTERN MIDGET DOUBLEHEADER COMES TO BIG DIAMOND FRIDAY

Pottsville, Pennsylvania………Big Diamond Speedway is set to host a double-dip of USAC action this Friday night with two heavy-hitting divisions on the card: the East Coast Sprint Cars and the Eastern Midgets.

Steven Drevicki, winner of the 2018 USAC East Coast Sprint car opener April 18 at Delaware International Speedway, leads the series to round two this Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville, Pa.

It’s the “Red, White and Blue Autos Night” and Drevicki has a four point lead over Eddie Strada in the series standings entering the race.

The last of five USAC Sprint races at Big Diamond (all National) occurred in 2012.  Chris Windom, who also won there in 2010, won that last appearance. Previous USAC Sprint wins at Big Diamond were captured by Cole Whitt (2008 and 2009) and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (2007).

Tommy Kunsman Jr. enters Friday night’s USAC Eastern Midget race at Big Diamond with a 29-point lead over runner-up Shawn Jackson. Kunsman won the 2018 opener at Linda's Speedway in Jonestown, Pa. and was third at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven, Pa. in April.

Brenden Bright and Adam Pierson were winners of USAC Midget races at Big Diamond last year. Pierson is currently sixth in the 2018 standings.
