BRETT WILSON GRABS INAUGURAL WINGLESS SPRINTS OKLAHOMA TITLE

Brett Wilson of Sapulpa, Okla. is the 2018 USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma champion following a nail-biting finish in the series finale last Friday night at Red Dirt Raceway.

Wilson finished 10th in the 25-lap feature, but it was good enough to edge Cameron Hagin by four points and Danny Smith by 12 in the final tally. Smith, of Sapulpa, won the feature over Johnny Kent, Hagin, Ty Hulsey and Tim Kent.

Wilson won three times during the 2018 season, including the opener at Red Dirt on May 30, plus a pair in July at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kans. and Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa. 

Danny Smith, who finished third in the standings, led all drivers with four wins while Craig Carroll, Matt Sherrell, Andrew Deal and Johnny Kent scored once apiece.
