14TH "BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS NOVEMBER 5-7 at PERRIS

3-IN-A-ROW FOR SPENCER AT THE PAS

Defending Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint car champion Mike Spencer will try to become only the second driver in history to win four consecutive USAC/CRA Sprint features when the series resumes November 5-7 with the 14th “Budwesier Oval Nationals” at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Spencer, of Temecula, Calif., is now eight points up on David Cardey after winning Saturday night’s 30-lap feature at Perris. The win was the third straight for Spencer in the Ron Chaffin entry as he passed Jimmy Crawford on lap 17 and led the rest of the way to beat Crawford, Cardey, Greg Bragg and Tony Jones. Blake Miller was Saturday night’s fastest qualifier.

Spencer hopes to match the feat of Damion Gardner, who won four USAC/CRA races in a row at 3 different tracks on his way to the 2005 series championship.
