Speedway, Indiana (December 24, 2019)………Andrew Layser Racing is pleased to announce that they will be running a limited schedule with the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Series in 2020. The team plans to run 10-12 races as their USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget schedule permits.

Andrew will be concentrating on the USAC National midget series and has secured a full-time ride with the Tucker-Boat Motorsports team. Andrew’s main focus will be on the National tour, but there are some open dates and Andrew wanted to fill out his racing schedule.

The Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Series seemed just the right venue for this young racer. Andrew has had an eye on the USAC East Coast Series and feels it is an excellent steppingstone and will provide the knowledge and experience needed to someday move on to the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series.

Bob Swavely, former Grandview modified and URC sprint car driver, has joined the team as crew chief / team manager to work with Andrew to build this new team into a solid contender. The team will be utilizing XXX Chassis with a technical alliance formed with Brady Bacon Racing, DMI Racing Components, Keizer Wheels, FK Indy Shocks, and Champion Oil Products. More product sponsors and team partners will be announced as the team moves forward.

Andrew offered that one of the most helpful things he learned while at Clauson Marshall Racing was that relationships and networking are a very important part of progressing in this sport. Andrew worked closely with Gene Franckowiak, who he met while at CMR, to put the team together. Gene, a former sprint car driver as well, noticed Andrew’s ability, dedication, and love of the sport and wanted to offer his assistance to give him an opportunity to race sprint cars which the team feels will only add to Andrew’s experience as he progresses in the sport.
