AT A GLANCE: KEITH KUNZ REACHES 134 USAC MIDGET VICTORIES

Placerville, California (November 18, 2022)………Keith Kunz collected his record-breaking 134th career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship feature victory as a car entrant on Thursday during opening night of the Hangtown 100 Presented By Matt Wood Racing at Placerville (Calif.) Speedway.
Kunz, president of the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports team operation, first fielded a team as an entrant in USAC National Midget competition in 1985 for driver Scott Weyant at Springfield (Ill.) Speedway.
The first career USAC National Midget victory for Kunz as an entrant came on August 19, 1992, at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway with Page Jones scoring in spectacular fashion. Jones spun twice and restarted last each time yet came back to pass Tony Elliott on the final lap to win.
More than 30 years later, on November 17, 2022, at Placerville (Calif.) Speedway, Kunz broke Steve Lewis’ long held record of 133 wins as an entrant in USAC National Midget competition when Tanner Carrick raced to victory lane during the opening night of the Hangtown 100.
The venue that Keith Kunz Motorsports has succeeded at most often with the USAC National Midgets is Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois where the team has won an astonishing 11 times.
Christopher Bell is Kunz’s winningest driver, having captured 23 USAC National Midget victories in his career.
