C.J. LEARY
Five years to the day after his most recent Ocala victory, he won again at the Florida oval in February 2024 for his lone points-paying USAC National Sprint victory of the season. The fifth-place points finishing driver was also victorious in the 10-car non-points invitational, the first sprint race ever held at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and led all drivers with 10 fast qualifying times. He began the 2024 USAC Silver Crown with four straight podiums and was well-known for his hard charges in 2024, going 20th to 2nd at Belleville, 22nd to 3rd at IRP and 24th to 6th at Terre Haute. Captured the USAC National Sprint, Eastern Storm and Indiana Sprint Week titles in 2019, plus the 2023 Bubby Jones Master of Going Faster title. Father Chuck Leary was the 1993 USAC National Midget & 1995 USAC Silver Crown Rookie of the Year.
