BACON SLIGHTLY EXTENDS ISW POINT LEAD TO 9 HEADING INTO GAS CITY

BACON SLIGHTLY EXTENDS INDIANA SPRINT WEEK POINT LEAD TO 9 HEADING INTO GAS CITY

Gas City, Indiana (July 26, 2021)………Brady Bacon carries a nine-point lead entering Monday night’s, July 26, USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL event at Gas City I-69 Speedway.

Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) followed up Saturday’s runner-up finish at Kokomo Speedway with a 4th place run on Sunday night at Lawrenceburg.  The 2016 Indiana Sprint Week champion is one of three drivers to finish inside the top-five of both ISW features run thus far over the weekend along with Kevin Thomas Jr. and Tanner Thorson.

Thomas Jr. (Cullman, Ala.) stands nine points behind Bacon following a 3rd at Kokomo and a 5th at Lawrenceburg.  Thorson (Minden, Nev.), 17 points out of the lead, has done the reverse of Thomas, finishing 5th at Kokomo and 3rd at Lawrenceburg.

Both of ISW’s 2021 winners, Justin Grant and Logan Seavey are tied at 145, just 19 points out of the ISW championship lead with five races remaining.  Grant (Ione, Calif.) was victorious in the opener at Kokomo while Seavey captured the Lawrenceburg round.

Gas City’s NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL event features the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship vying for the $6,000 winner’s share along with the 600cc Non-Wing Micro Sprints.

On Monday at Gas City, pits open at 3pm ET, front gates open at 5pm, drivers meeting at 6pm with cars on track at 6:30pm and qualifying/racing immediately following.

General admission tickets are $30, kids 12 and under are free.  Pit passes are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.  Wristbands and ticket stubs from last Friday’s rain out at Gas City are good for use at Gas City on Monday.
