AUGUST 13TH SANTA MARIA USAC WESTERN MIDGET RETURN TO PAY $2,000-TO-WIN

JULY 7, 2022... USAC Western States Midget Series Director Stephanie Odom has announced that the August 13th return to Santa Maria Raceway will have extra money up for grabs. Thanks to the support from Hot Head Competition Heaters and Wireless 101, the event will now pay $2,000-to-win.
The action packed card will also feature IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, and WRA Vintage Cars. For more information, visit the track’s website at santamariaraceway.com or call 310.493.4900.
Since 1985, "The West's Best Short Track" has been a popular stop on the schedule. The 1/3-mile oval near the Central Coast of California has held 40 series events and last hosted the mighty midgets on August 10, 2019. Robert Dalby claimed the last appearance on his way to the championship and multi-time champion Sleepy Tripp leads all drivers with six wins at Santa Maria.
At press time, 2018 Champion Michael Faccinto leads the point chase over Ben Worth, Brody Fuson, Travis Buckley, defending champion Blake Bower, A.J. Bender, Jake Andreotti, Austin Liggett, C.J. Sarna, Michael Snider, and Caden Sarale. Buckley, Bender, and Sarale are in a battle for rookie of the year honors.
