CHAMPS FROM 7 STATES

IN ORANGE SHOW’S MOPAR .25 MIDGET “GENERATION NEXT” ROUND 3


Drivers from seven different states earned feature victories in this past weekend’s Western District Championship USAC Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next” Round 3 at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif.


 


The latest automatic qualifier for the July 6-10 “Battle at the Brickyard” at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway drew a field of 109 cars with drivers hailing from nine different states.


 


Champions of weekend action at the home track of the Orange Show Quarter Midget Racing Association included California drivers Joel Rayborne of West Covina (Junior Rookie), Ryan Rayborne of West Covina (Senior Rookie), Skyler Dale of La Cresta (Senior Honda and Senior Stock), Molly Putnam of West Hills (Heavy Honda), Dylan Attridge of Alta Loma (Mod), Blake Bower of Fremont (Junior Stock) and Keith Zimmerman of Torrance (Light AA); Indiana drivers Gage Walker of Fairland (Light World Formula) and Zeb Wise of Angola (Junior Animal); Tennessee driver Christian pitman of Christiana (Junior Honda); Oregon driver Dawson Loehner of West Linn (Heavy AA), Florida driver Garrett Jones of West Palm Beach (Light 160); and Ohio driver Ross Rankine of Willard (Senior Animal). New Mexico driver Michael Fanelli of Rio Rancho (Heavy 160) was also the winner of an all access NASCAR weekend pit pass with Stewart Haas racing courtesy of Joe Custer.


 


All participants at the San Bernardino oval have earned automatic invitations to compete at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July.
