BRIGGS & STRATTON SENIOR ANIMAL CLASS AUGMENTS INDIANAPOLIS SPEEDROME WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS

USAC’s Mopar .25 Midget Series will be part of five weekly Wednesday Night racing programs at the Indianapolis Speedrome, which begin May 26.


 


The Briggs & Stratton Senior Animal Class will take to a 1/20-mile oval as part of the evening’s racing action, which also includes the Regional Midgets, Midwest Ford Focus Midgets and Ford Focus Young Guns.


 


Griffin Brown of South Whitley, Ind. and Ross Rankine of Willard, Ohio are among the top drivers in USAC’s Senior Animal Class. Rankine won the recent feature during Round 2 of this year’s Generation Next Tour at Braselton, Ga., while Brown scored second place finishes in Rounds 1 and 2 at Salisbury, N.C. and Braselton. They are tied for the lead in USAC’s Generation Next Tour Championship after the first two rounds. Hayley Woosley of Hebron, Ohio won round one of the Generation Next Tour in North Carolina.


 


The Briggs & Stratton Animal Engine, engineered and designed exclusively for racing, is a cost-effective engine which debuted this season in USAC’s Mopar .25 Junior and Senior Animal classes. Exempt from EPA/EVAP regulations with dedicated dies and tooling, the Animal engine is hand-built in Milwaukee, Wi. to give it repeatability, durability, stability, and resale value. The Senior Animal class encompasses drivers between the ages of nine and 16.


 


The Mopar .25 Midgets extend the rich tradition of USAC racing at the Speedrome, which, in the past 52 years, has hosted an all-time record 454 USAC feature events.
