AN ABUNDANCE OF KOKOMO SMACKDOWN PRIZES AWAIT USAC SPRINT COMPETITORS
Kokomo, Indiana (Sept. 26, 2018)………Thursday’s “Sprint Car Smackdown VII” at Kokomo Speedway is one the most highly-anticipated and hotly-contested USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car events of the season. With it comes an abundance of contingency prizes awarded from a wide variety of generous sponsors and individuals.
Among those are Wilwood, who is serving up a complete brake kit, STIDA.com’s Hard Luck Award will provide a driver with a free 2019 membership. B & W Auto Mart’s Pass Masters gives $300 to the driver who passes the most cars throughout all of “Smackdown.” The Capital Renegade “King of the Hill” Qualifying is $500-to-win. The KoH winner will also receive a TRAXXAS truck.
Diversified Machine, Inc. will award a $100 certificate to the Hard Work Award winner. HSD is doing a $150 off on any 2019 order for the first non-transfer. Arizona Sport Shirts ($300 certificate) and Kick-It ($250) have a nice chunk of change going to the “Smackdown” Rookie of the Year. The Weld Racing Cool Move recipient gets a $250 certificate. Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts has $250 going to the Hard Charger.
Hoosier Racing Tire is honoring the last transfer into the feature, while Rod End Supply is providing certificates to non-transferring drivers. Drums of VP Racing Fuel are headed into the hands of the driver recording the fastest lap in the heat races and the feature. Simpson Race Products is supplying non-transfers with a variety of items including belts, gloves and nomex.
Individual lap sponsors are supported by Hoss Doggies, ProSource, the Rip the Fence Podcast, Cru & Winston Jones, Lauren Stewart Promotions, Crume Evans Insurance, In Memory of Dick Tobias, Ace Automotive, Jake Chalk, In Memory of Laura Stockon and Ace Automotive among others.
Thursday at Kokomo, all gates open at 3pm. Cars hit the track at 6pm with racing to immediately follow. Additionally, a program for the BOSS Sprint Series will be held in addition to USAC’s “Smackdown” program. General admission tickets are $35. Kids 10 & under tickets are free with paid adult (general admission only). Pit passes for all ages are $45.
Three-day “Smackdown” ticketholders must turn in their wristband at the ticket window in exchange for a new one. Tickets that were already redeemed are NOT valid for re-entry. It is only the wristband that will be accepted as a rain check, no exceptions.
