PROSOURCE PASSING MASTER RACE TIGHTENS UP BETWEEN COTTLE & BALLOU

Speedway, Indiana (July 27, 2020)………The race for the NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week ProSource Passing Master standings have tightened up following Robert Ballou’s 12-place advancement from 22nd to 10th in Sunday night’s USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

However, Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) still holds command of the ISW Passing Master points with 20 positions advanced throughout the first three nights of the series and will hold that lead entering Wednesday’s event at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track.

Cottle made the advancement from his 14th starting spot to an 8th place finish Saturday night at Kokomo Speedway.  That came one night following his charge from the 21st starting position to a 7th place result in Friday night’s USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature at Gas City I-69 Speedway.

With three of seven ISW rounds complete, Cottle holds the lead by just five over Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.), with San Jose, California’s Thomas Meseraull in third (-6), Pleasant Hill, Ohio’s Matt Westfall fourth (-7) and Princeton, Indiana’s Kyle Cummins (-9).

At the end of the week, the driver who advances the most total positions from his or her feature starting spot throughout the entirety of ISW will receive $500 as the ProSource Passing Master.  Provisional starters each night are ineligible to receive points toward the passing master total.

Indiana Sprint Week continues with round four of the series on Wednesday, July 29 at the Terre Haute Action Track.  Pits open at 3pm ET as does advance ticket entry for spectators.  Walk-up entry beginning at 4pm.  Hot Laps are scheduled for a 6:30pm start with racing to immediately follow.

Tickets for all Indiana Sprint Week events are available, while supplies last, at www.usactickets.com.  Adult general admission tickets for Terre Haute are $25.  Infield tickets are $15.  Kids age 11 and under are free.  Remaining tickets, if available, will also be available at the gate on raceday.  Pit passes are $25 apiece for USAC members and $30 for non-members.
