Kokomo, Indiana (June 12, 2021)………Seven drivers remain mathematically eligible to win the 2021 edition of USAC Indiana Midget Week when the series rolls into Kokomo Speedway on Saturday night, June 12, for the IMW finale.

Buddy Kofoid (Penngrove, Calif.) is the leader on the strength of two wins at both Bloomington and Gas City.  Daison Pursley (Locust Grove, Okla.) hasn’t won yet, but he’s just three points out of the spot behind Kofoid.  Lawrenceburg winner and 2019 Indiana Midget Week champ Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) is third, 12 points back.

The three-point difference between Kofoid and Pursley is the third closest separation between first and second in the standings entering the final USAC Indiana Midget Week event in the mini-series’ 17-year history.  One point was the margin between Michael Pickens and Shane Golobic in 2017 while two points separated Shane Cottle and Jerry Coons Jr. in 2006.

Behind those tightly-bunched top-three, but still IMW championship eligible are Franklin, Indiana’s Emerson Axsom (-43), Canton, Illinois’ Chris Windom (-48), Cullman, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas Jr. (-49) and Circle City victor Corey Day of Clovis, Calif. (-63).

Saturday’s Indiana Midget Week round at Kokomo Speedway will feature the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship and the Kokomo Sprint Cars.

You can save $5 with purchase of advance tickets at www.TracPass.com.  Tickets and pit passes will also be sold at the gate where general admission tickets are $30, kids aged 12 and under are free.  Pit passes are $35.

Pits open at 3pm EDT with grandstands opening at 3pm, drivers meeting at 6pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.

Every Indiana Midget Week event will be streamed LIVE on FloRacing at https://bit.ly/3dgONXz.
