MIDGETS OPEN SATURDAY’S 32nd “4-CROWN NATIONALS”

The Honda USAC National Midgets kick off this Saturday’s 32nd “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The point lead will be up for grabs as drivers Christopher Bell and Bryan Clauson continue their battle for the 2013 championship.

Bell, with four victories, leads the Midget Dirt series by 37 points over Clauson, who has three 2013 wins to his credit. Clauson has never won the “4-Crown” Midget race but has won two of the last three “4-Crown” Silver Crown races.

Kyle Larson won the last two “4-Crown” Midget features.

Bell’s victories are part of seven posted by the Kunz Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian team this year. Rico Abreu has a pair of wins and Kyle Larson opened the Dirt series in a Kunz/Curb-Agajanian entry back in June. Bell’s wins include the Belleville (Kans.) Midget Nationals and a pair of wins he posted on his way to the “Indiana Midget Week” championship.
