Due to a scheduling conflict with area speedways, the Innovative Machine Technology USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series will no longer appear at Georgetown Speedway on Saturday, July 12th.
Originally slated to compete on the spacious 4/10-mile track, the event has been removed from the schedule after Georgetown Speedway opted to move their race program to Friday, July 11th. With the USAC East Coast Sprints racing at Action Track USA in Kutztown on July 9th, the quick turnaround and lack of recovery time led series officials and track management to the mutual decision to drop the July 12th date from the calendar.
Fans in the Delaware region will still have opportunities to see the USAC East Coast Sprints in action:
• Bridgeport Speedway – Friday, July 19th
• New Egypt Speedway – Saturday, August 9th
Before that, the series will head to Clinton County Speedway on Friday, June 27th, where Crate Sprints, 305s, Super Sportsman, 358 Sprints, and 360 Sprints are invited to join a night of traditional, wingless sprint car racing. From there, the series heads approximately 55 minutes southeast to the Selinsgrove Speedway—known as the “Fastest Half-Mile in the East”—on Saturday, June 28th.
This weekend, the USAC East Coast Sprints presented by Baer Den Farms will continue their participation in the Eastern Storm. Expected entrants include series regulars Billy Ney, Steven Drevicki, Ed Aikin, and more, as they square off against the best from the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series at various northeastern speedways.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the track!
